Born in Lisieux, France in 1873, she entered the Carmelite convent early at fifteen following her older sisters. Before dying at age 24, her “little way of spiritual childhood” made famous in her work, The Story of a Soul, confirmed her a Doctor of the Church. Her intercession is marked by roses. Parents, Louis and Zelie Martin, are also saints. Patron of missionaries.
