Feast Day: Jan 17 (Carthusians July 6)

Born in France in 1263 to a noble family, when she received the sacrament of Confirmation at 7 in the family castle chapel, a supernatural light seemed to envelope the child. Making a private vow of virginity at a young age, she loved to care for the poor, generously distributing family provisions to the alarm of the servants. After filling her skirt with bread for the poor, her father stopped to ask what she was carrying. Miraculously, the bread had turned to roses to his astonishment. Overcoming her father’s opposition, she became a Carthusian nun. Known for her asceticism, purity of heart, power over demons, and great holiness, she died at 66. Miracles followed including the blind and sick cured. Her body remains incorrupt.

Made of wood, felt, ribbon, and handmade accessories. Includes tag and card with Saint's biography and description. Approximately 4" tall. Packaged in cellophane bag. Shipped in box with bubble wrap.
