In his youth in Poland, he had a vision from Our Lady who offered him two crowns: the white crown of a life of heroic virtue, and the red crown of martyrdom. He founded a Franciscan community devoted to Mary Immaculate in 1917 before journeying to Japan and India. Returning to Poland in 1941, he was arrested by the Nazis and sent to Auschwitz. There he wore a blue striped prisoner outfit with a red triangle for “political prisoner” and offered himself in place of a father selected to die. Patron of drug addicts and prisoners.

Dressed in his Franciscan habit and pictured with his Auschwitz issued outfit, two crowns, and red triangle patch. Made of wood, felt, and handmade accessories. Includes tag and card with Saint description. Approximately 4" tall. Packaged in cellophane bag. Shipped in box with bubble wrap.
