Feast Day: April 7

Born wealthy in 776, he used all his fortune to help the sick and the poor, then entered a monastery. He was chosen as Bishop of Mitylene, Greece and known as “the Younger” because there had been two previous bishops of that area named George. He was noted for his humility and fasting, his gifts of healing, and his work as an exorcist. For his courage and defense of icons, he was exiled to Chersonese (modern Ukraine) for the rest of his life until his death in 816. His relics were returned to Mitylene and his tomb became a site of miraculous healings.

Handmade original wooden doll ornament. Perfect for the Christmas Tree. Bring out on his feast day or for a Novena. Gift for a birthday or sacrament (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, Holy Orders, Marriage) celebration. Teacher, priest, grandparent gift.

Made of wood, felt, ribbon, and handmade accessories. Includes tag and card with Saint's biography and description. Approximately 4" tall. Packaged in cellophane bag. Shipped in box with bubble wrap.
