Feast Day: May 15

She was born in 7th c. Ireland the only child of a pagan king and devout Christian mother. At 14, she took a vow of chastity, consecrating herself to Christ. When her mother died, her father’s mental health declined and threatened Dymphna. She fled to Belgium with a priest (St. Gerebern) and two servants where she built a hospital for the poor. When her father found her, he beheaded the priest and Dymphna at 15. She became know as the “Lily of Eire”; pilgrims come to St. Dymphna church in Gheel where her body is buried for healing of mental ills and miracles have occurred. Patron of those suffering nervous and mental afflictions.

Made of wood, felt, ribbon, and handmade accessories. Includes tag and card with Saint's biography and description. Approximately 4" tall. Packaged in cellophane bag. Shipped in box with bubble wrap.
