A Muslim priciness born I 950, the daughter of the ruler of Toledo, she showed compassion for Christian prisoners by frequently smuggling bread into the prison, hidden in her skirt. Once stopped by her father and his soldiers, asking her to reveal what she was carrying in her skirt, she showed them and the bread turned to roses. Raised Muslim, but when she became ill from a flux of blood as a young woman and Arab doctors couldn’t help her, it was revealed to her to travel to northern Iberia (Spain) to the healing waters of the shrine of San Vicente (St. Vincent of Saragossa) near Buezo. Her father obtained permission from the Christian king of Burgos for her to pass safely to the pool, agreeing in return to free the Christians he was holding. Along the way her horse was frightened by a demon and she fell into the water, but an angel rescued her. When she was cured, she was baptized at Burgos and lived a life of solitude and penance not far from the miraculous spring. Died at 100.
