Born to Jochebed and Amram, both of the tribe of Levi, when the Israelites were Egyptian slaves, the youngest of three with sister Miriam and brother Aaron. When the Egyptians ordered the killing of all boy baby Israelites, Amram hid him in a basket in the Nile River reeds. Pharaoh’s daughter discovered the baby and providentially hires Amram to nurse him. Although raised as palace royalty, he knew he was a Hebrew, once defending a Hebrew slave beaten by an Egyptian by killing him. When Pharoah found out, Moses escaped into the desert for 40 years, marrying and bearing two children. In Exodus 3, God appears to him in flames of fire within a bush, telling him to rescue the Israelites from Egypt. Afraid and offering excuses, God recruits Aaron to help him. Moses leads them out, through the 10 plagues and the Red Sea (Exodus 14). Spent 40 days with God on Mount Sinai, given the 10 Commandments on two tablets inscribed with the finger of God. Sought God’s favor as he led the people for 40 years to the Promised Land.

Made of wood, felt, ribbon, and handmade accessories. Includes tag and card with Saint description. Approximately 4" tall. Packaged in cellophane bag. Shipped in box with bubble wrap.
